Roll Crusher
Roll crushers are suitable for crushing brittle materials of low to medium hardness—such as sinter, coke, slag, shale, and limestone—and are ideal for medium and fine crushing operations in small-to-medium-sized non-metallic mines and the chemical industry. This machine features a simple structure, reliable performance, and minimal over-crushing (fine powder generation).
The roller crusher consists of two crushing rolls rotating synchronously towards each other: one fixed and one movable. Material is fed from above and continuously drawn into the gap between the rolls; after being subjected to high pressure ranging from 50 to 200 MPa, it is discharged from the bottom at the desired particle size. From the moment the material is gripped by the roll surfaces, it experiences a progressively increasing force, with peak pressure reaching up to 200 MPa. Aside from a certain proportion of fines, the discharged granular material contains a multitude of internal micro-cracks, which significantly reduces energy consumption during subsequent grinding stages.
